Work

Shelly maintained a private practice in Los Angeles specializing in pain management and addictions and then went on to work with drug rehabs from private Malibu facilities to non-profits. She remained employed with Cri-Help for 10 years where her passion was in running her acupuncture-meditation group 3x weekly.  It was here that she developed an externship program in conjunction with TCM colleges and trained over 100 interns from both Emperor’s college and Samra University.  In addition Shelly has taught courses and seminars on addiction.

As an RN, Shelly worked at various Los Angeles hospitals specializing in behavioral health. She helped to develop and implement programs at three different hospitals, has done consultant work and held expertise in risk management, policy and procedure and the regulatory agencies. “It was a privilege to work as a acupuncturist on staff at Daniel Freeman Hospital training acupuncture interns in all areas, but especially important to me were the psychiatric and chemical dependency units which opened their arms to us. A decade prior I worked there as an administrative RN overseeing their chemical dependency unit and helping to open up their psychiatric unit.”
