shelly_pic1Shelly Bobbins is a Registered Nurse, Licensed Acupuncturist and Diplomat of Chinese Herbology.  She has worked in the healthcare field for over 25 years specializing in addictions and psychiatry.  As an RN consultant she developed and implemented programs at 3 major Los Angeles hospitals.  After graduating from Emperor’s College in 1996 as an acupuncturist/herbalist and then QME, Shelly worked in private practice until 2003 with a focus on pain management and addictions.  In addition she has experience with biofeedback, neurofeedback, as well as with meditation, trained in both Taoist and Buddhist traditions.

While teaching a 21-hour course on addiction at Emperor’s College she worked as a acupuncture supervisor at Daniel Freeman Marina Hospital training interns on the chemical dependency unit.   Shelly then went on to develop a program with Cri-Help where she combines group acupuncture with Taoist meditation having now treated thousands of patients in rehab with this approach.  In addition while at Cri-Help Shelly has trained over 100 acupuncture interns in her technique working with the recovering population.
